Your Questions, Answered

What types of documents or cases do you handle?

We examine documents where the authenticity of a signature or handwriting is in question. This includes checks, wills, contracts, deeds, and other handwritten or signed materials. We do not provide opinions on autographs, artwork, or non-handwriting-related authenticity (e.g., paint or memorabilia).

Do you need the original documents, or can you examine scans or PDFs?

Originals are preferred when available, but we frequently work from high-quality scans, PDFs, and electronic files. In most legal matters, courts accept expert opinions based on copies when originals are unavailable.

How do I get started?

To begin, contact us using the inquiry form, email us directly, or call our office. We’ll review your situation and schedule a consultation to determine the most appropriate next steps.

Can I get a quick verbal opinion before committing?

We do not offer “look over this and tell me what you think” reviews without formal engagement. However, our verbal opinion service provides fast, direct analysis from a certified examiner—and is often the first step for clients who want answers before proceeding further.

How many samples or signatures do you need to make a comparison?

Each case is different. In general, more known (authentic) samples lead to stronger results. That said, conclusions can often be reached with several good quality exemplars. We’ll review what you have and advise you accordingly.

Can your reports be used in court?

Yes. Our Declaration Letters are written in a format designed for legal proceedings and are regularly submitted in both state and federal cases. We follow industry-standard forensic methodology and formatting, ensuring your report is prepared to withstand legal scrutiny and cross-examination.

Do you take international cases?

Yes, we occasionally accept international cases involving documents written in the Latin alphabet (A-Z). Because legal standards vary by country, international clients must contact us directly before proceeding so we can access jurisiction, admissibility, and compatibility.
