Retainer Fee

A litigation-level retainer required to initiate expert services for complex or ongoing cases. This retainer secures the examiner’s time for document review, consultations, strategy meetings with counsel, and case preparation. Hourly rate: $500 per hour, billed against the retainer.

This $5,000 retainer includes:

• Reserved availability for your case

• Expert review of documents and handwriting

• Strategy calls with attorneys

•Ongoing analysis and case updates

• All work billed at $500 per hour, deducted from the retainer

Written reports may be prepared under this retainer as time-based work

Important Notes

• This retainer follows time-based billing at $500 per hour and can be applied to:

  • Written reports (including Letters of Opinion or Full Forensic Reports)

  • Suspect examinations

  • Additional questioned signatures or handwriting

  • Consultations and ongoing case work

Choosing a retainer means written reports are billed hourly, not at the flat-rate service pricing available on the website.

When the retainer balance is exhausted, it must be replenished before further work continues.

Unused hours are refundable at the conclusion or termination of the case.

Refunds apply only to funds remaining after all billed hours are deducted.
